I'm Julie LaFontaine.
I got my first camera when I was 5 years old from my grandfather, Mark S LaFontaine Sr. He was a photographer and my main inspiration. That camera was a Kodak Instamatic and I brought it everywhere I went. I know I drove my parents crazy constantly asking for more film and more flashbulbs!
Through grade school and high school I never lost the bug and I went through dozens of cameras and hundreds of experiments.
I attended NYSU and got a degree in Commercial Art and Photography and have run an independent photography studio for the last 4 years. Some examples of my work can be found on this site…many, many more are available at my studio.
